Validation message

A Payment instruction (BG-16) shall specify the Payment means type code (BT-81).

Explanation

The invoice contains payment details but no code for the payment method, for example 58 for SEPA credit transfer, 59 for SEPA direct debit, 30 for other credit transfers or 48 for a card payment.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice that states the payment method. When it is missing, the seller's invoicing software is usually the cause.
