Validation message

The Item standard identifier (BT-157) shall have a Scheme identifier.

Explanation

A line gives a standard item number, such as a GTIN (EAN), but not which numbering scheme it comes from. For a GTIN that is code 0160.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice that states the numbering scheme of the item number. When it is missing, the seller's invoicing software is usually the cause.
