Invoice line allowance reason code (BT-140) and Invoice line allowance reason (BT-139) shall indicate the same type of allowance reason.
Explanation
An allowance on a line can carry a reason text and a reason code. Where both are given, EN 16931 requires them to describe the same kind of allowance. Accounting software usually goes by the code while people read the text, so when they disagree the allowance may be booked wrongly.
How to fix
Clarify which reason is meant and ask the seller for a corrected invoice in which text and code agree.
