Explanation

Monetary amounts in an EN 16931 invoice are limited to two decimal places (§ 6.5.2 — quantities, unit prices and percentages are excluded). Three or more decimals typically cause rounding mismatches in downstream calculations.

How to fix

Round the amount to two decimal places. (Typically a software-side issue, not user input — raise this with your invoicing software vendor; if you're receiving the invoice, ask the sender to address it with theirs.)

This field is required by §14 Abs. 4 Nr. 7 UStG. A missing or incorrect value may affect input VAT deduction (Vorsteuerabzug) for the recipient.
