Explanation
The French e-invoicing rules check every date on the invoice (invoice date, due date, delivery and tax point date, invoicing periods and the dates of earlier invoices, including at line level): it must be a real calendar date (no 31 April, no 29 February outside a leap year), and the year must lie between 2000 and 2099. The requirement comes from the French e-invoicing rules, not from EN 16931.
How to fix
Ask the seller for a corrected invoice with a valid date. Usually the date was mistyped or a placeholder such as 1900-01-01 was used.
