Explanation

Lifecycle status messages (“cycle de vie”) are part of the French e-invoicing system: platforms and parties use them to report what happened to an invoice. Every message has to state its type: 23 for a processing step or 305 for a transmission step. Any other value, or none, is not allowed.

How to fix

Ask the sender of the status message for a corrected message. Status messages are usually generated automatically by the sender's platform or software, so the fault lies there, not in anything typed in.
