Explanation

Every allowance or charge must state whether it reduces the amount (allowance) or increases it (charge), at invoice level as well as on a line. Without it, it is unclear in which direction the amount works.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice that marks each allowance and charge as such. The error usually comes from the seller's invoicing software, not from data entry.
