Validation message

If both supplier and customer are located in Germany, the element "Debited account identifier" (BT-91) should contain a valid IBAN if code 59 SEPA is provided in "Payment means type code" (BT-81).

Explanation

When seller and buyer are both located in Germany, PEPPOL applies the German XRechnung requirements: when the payment method is SEPA direct debit, the buyer's account to be debited must be a valid IBAN: a two-letter country code, two check digits, then the account identifier, with a matching checksum. The IBAN given doesn't meet this; the collection may fail.

How to fix

Check that the IBAN matches the account the buyer gave for the direct debit, and ask the seller for a corrected invoice.
