Validation message

If both supplier and customer are located in Germany, and if "Payment means type code" (BT-81) contains a code for direct debit (59), BG-17 and BG-18 shall not be provided.

Explanation

When seller and buyer are both located in Germany, PEPPOL applies the German XRechnung requirements: a payment instruction describes exactly one way of paying. When its method is SEPA direct debit, the same instruction must not contain credit transfer or card details.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice in which the direct debit contains only the direct debit details. If the seller offers several ways to pay, each appears as a payment instruction of its own.
