Validation message

If seller and buyer are icelandic then the invoice shall contain the buyers icelandic legal identifier — Ef seljandi og kaupandi eru íslenskir þá skal reikningurinn innihalda íslenska kennitölu kaupanda (BT-47).

Explanation

When both seller and buyer have their address in Iceland, the invoice must state the buyer's kennitala, the Icelandic registration number for people and companies. It belongs in the buyer's legal registration identifier and must be marked as a kennitala (code 0196).

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice that states the buyer's kennitala as the buyer's legal registration identifier.
