Explanation

The invoice must state the seller's full name, the name it is legally registered under, for example in the commercial register. A brand or trading name alone isn't enough. VAT law requires the name too.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice that states its full name.

This field is required by §14 Abs. 4 Nr. 1 UStG. A missing or incorrect value may affect input VAT deduction (Vorsteuerabzug) for the recipient.
