The Seller postal address (BG-5) shall contain a Seller country code (BT-40).
Explanation
The seller's address must state the country as a two-letter country code, such as DE, AT or FR. The country is required even on domestic invoices.
How to fix
Ask the seller for a corrected invoice whose seller address states the country.
This field is required by §14 Abs. 4 Nr. 1 UStG. A missing or incorrect value may affect input VAT deduction (Vorsteuerabzug) for the recipient.
