Explanation

When seller and buyer are both located in Germany, PEPPOL applies the German XRechnung requirements: the seller's contact point, the one the buyer turns to with questions, must have a name. It need not be a specific person; a function such as 'Accounting' is enough. Name, phone and email are three mandatory details that traditional VAT law doesn't require.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice in which its contact point carries a name or a function, such as 'Accounting'. Storing these details once in the invoicing software's company settings puts them on every invoice.
