Validation message

If both supplier and customer are located in Germany, the element "Buyer post code" (BT-53) shall be provided.

Explanation

When seller and buyer are both located in Germany, PEPPOL applies the German XRechnung requirements: the buyer's address must include the post code. VAT law also requires the buyer's full address.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice whose buyer address includes the post code.

This field is required by §14 Abs. 4 Nr. 1 UStG. A missing or incorrect value may affect input VAT deduction (Vorsteuerabzug) for the recipient.
