If both supplier and customer are located in Germany, and if "Payment means type code" (BT-81) contains a code for direct debit (59), "DIRECT DEBIT" (BG-19) shall be provided.

Explanation

When seller and buyer are both located in Germany, PEPPOL applies the German XRechnung requirements: when the payment method is SEPA direct debit, the invoice must also contain the collection details, meaning the mandate reference and the buyer's account to be debited.

How to fix

Ask the seller for a corrected invoice with the direct debit details: the mandate reference and the IBAN of the account to be debited.
